Nisbet leaves the A-League side after six seasons and he was central to the club’s treble winning season last year, when Mariners also claimed the A-League Championship and Premiership in an historic campaign for the Gosford based outfit.
“I want to show my gratitude to @ccmariners for the incredible support and platform that helped me achieve both collective and personal accolades: the Premiers Plate, AFC Cup, 2x A-League Championships, Johnny Warren Medal, @socceroos debut, and more,” he wrote on Instagram.
“A special thank you to the loyal fans who continually believed in and supported me.
“Now, I’m excited to announce that I’m joining @rcfcofficial for the next chapter of my career. I look forward to the new challenges ahead and can’t wait to perform on a European stage and achieve great things with Ross County.
“Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey—I’m eager to see what the future holds!”

The 25-year-old won the Johnny Warren Medal, which is awarded to the best performer in men’s domestic football in Australia over a single season, for his performances in the 2023/24 A-League and he has now signed a three-season deal with the Scottish club.
Nisbet also played nine times in last season’s AFC Cup, scoring once, as Central Coast became the first club from Australia to win the title while the midfielder earned his first cap for Australia, featuring as a substitute against Lebanon in March.

“Joshua is a really exciting addition to the group,” Ross County manager Don Cowie said. “He had an exceptional season last season, winning both team and individual accolades, which has resulted in him breaking into the Australian national team.
“There has been a lot of interest in Joshua from all over the world but we are absolutely delighted that he has chosen to join the Staggies for the next steps in his career.”
